I no longer think of you, every single day.

Nan Goldin

"O Rose, thou art sick.
The invisible worm
That flies in the night
In the howling storm

Has found out thy bed
Of crimson joy,
And his dark secret love
Does thy life destroy."
- The Sick Rose, William Blake.

If I create from the heart, nearly everything works; if from the head, almost nothing.

Photos are taken by me.

I must admit, they're not very good, and no, I'm not being modest. I'm only a few days old at handling a Nikon D90 and I need to understand it better, I think.
I should have put these up earlier, when I was feeling better.

Anyhow, I hope all of you like them.

My life has always been a double-strand of pearls around my neck.

Nat Finklestein

"Speed is the ultimate, all time high. That first rush. Wow! Just that burning, searing, soaring sense of perfection. There's no way to explain it unless you've been through it. There's no way to tell anyone who hasn't tasted it. I'd like to turn the whole world on just for a moment... just for a moment. I'm greedy. I'd like to keep most of it for myself and a few others, a few of my friends. Keep that superlative high just on the cusp of each day so that I radiate sunshine."
- Susan Superstar (Edie Sedgwick), Ciao Manhattan.

If you're losing your soul and you know it, then you've still got a soul left to lose.

1-3: William Eggleston, 4-5: Hal Sear

Out of the night that covers me,
Black as the Pit from pole to pole,
I thank whatever gods may be
For my unconquerable soul.

In the fell clutch of circumstance
I have not winced nor cried aloud.
Under the bludgeonings of chance
My head is bloody, but unbowed.

Beyond this place of wrath and tears
Looms but the Horror of the shade,
And yet the menace of the years
Finds, and shall find, me unafraid.

It matters not how strait the gate,
How charged with punishments the scroll.
I am the master of my fate:
I am the captain of my soul.
- Invictus, William Ernest Henley

And I'll tell ya, things aren't quite the same when I'm rushing on my run and I feel just like Jesus' son, and I guess that I just don't know.

Leon Diaper

Isn't the final picture just amazing? The colours, the amusing paganism of it all.
Leon Diaper has really managed to capture a beautiful moment there.

The mirror casts mon reflet partout

Mathilde Frachon for Marie Claire Paris

The black mirror knows no reflection
It knows not pride or vanity
It cares not about your dreams
It cares not for your pyramid schemes
Their names are never spoken
The curse is never broken
The curse is never broken
- Black Mirror, Arcade Fire.

Now the king told the boogie men, you have to let that raga drop.

Vogue Paris, Inez and Vinoodh

You will be seeing me in a turban heandscarf soon.
Also, I'm getting a Rock the Casbah vibe here. But then again, I get that vibe with any shoot in the African Mediterranean.

In the valley of the giants where the stars and stripes explode.

Lina Scheynius

Well, it's always been my nature to take chances
My right hand drawing back while my left hand advances
Where the current is strong and the monkey dances
To the tune of a concertina

Blood dryin' in my yellow hair as I go from shore to shore
I know what it is that has drawn me to your door
But whatever it could be, makes you think you've seen me before
Angelina

- Angelina, Bob Dylan.
